I would have read the reviews before I went to that place. They pretty much took our money and did nothing. They charged me $150 to diagnosed with computer. Kyle said he found nothing. We go to pick the truck up and is made a weird noise when we cranked it. I guess the mechanic felt bad and said he would look at it. We pick it up after4-5 more days and they advised they could not find anything. As soon as we got in and cranked it check engine lights come on. This lets me know they did nothing. Oh and they charged us another $150. Please save your money and your time and go elsewhere.

Avoid Hawkeye Diesel in Dallas. Kyle was very kind when we first called, and we were told the technician was about 1.5 hours away from our driver's location. I followed up directly with the tech, and he confirmed the same ETA. Based on that timeframe, we agreed to move forward and paid the $145 service fee upfront. After waiting over 2 hours, we checked in again and were told the technician was still another hour away. At that point, it was clear the original ETA was nowhere close to accurate. Had we known it would take more than 3 hours for a simple roadside tire change, we would have called another service provider. What makes this even more frustrating is that Hawkeye Diesel had already collected payment before providing any service. When I called to cancel and move on, I was told the fee was non-refundable despite no work being performed. Meanwhile, the technician was still claiming to be an hour away. This isn't really about the $145—it's about honesty and professionalism. Hardworking truck drivers depend on accurate information when they're stranded on the side of the road. I WISH I COULD GIVE THEM NEGATIVE REVIEWS. WE CALLED THEM @9PM TO INSTALL A TIRE AND THEY SAID 45 MINUTES WE WILL BE THERE. THEY TOOK $145 AS A CALL OUT FEES IN ADVANCE. THEY DIDNT SHOW UP FOR THE NEXT 3 HRS. THEY SAID FOR 2HRS THE DRIVER IS PICKING UP THE TIRE. COMPLETELY LYING . DO NOT GO HERE. I CANCELLED THE CALL OUT AND THEY DIDNT REFUND MY CALL OUT FEE EITHER. ON TOP OF EVERYTHING THEY ARE SUPER RUDE, PLEASE CHOOSE THESE MECHANICS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

I’ve used this company before and recently had to use them again, so I wanted to leave an updated review because I noticed some of the negative reviews. Honestly, I asked them about the reviews because I was curious, and they were able to explain what was going on. From what I was told, a lot of the complaints come from customers who don’t fully pay attention to the rates and pricing that are explained before a technician is even dispatched. I can understand being surprised by a bill, but in my experience, they were very upfront with me about the pricing and what to expect before sending someone out. Both times I’ve used them, the service has been great. The technician showed up, knew what they were doing, and got the job handled. There were no surprises with the pricing because everything had already been explained to me beforehand. I think it’s important to actually read and understand the rates before agreeing to have someone come out, especially with roadside truck repair where there are a lot of costs involved. I had a truck working fine with no lights or codes on the dash and I brought it to Hawk eye with minor things I needed new and fixed. They caused more problems and won’t take accountability for it. Ended up leaving and now my truck doesn't work or start due to a issue they made happen, biggest waste of $3,000+ in my life
